CPI(M) condemns Jaipur blasts

New Delhi, May 14 (PTI) The CPI(M) today condemned the serial blasts in Jaipur, saying the attack was designed to disrupt communal peace and harmony and to inflict maximum casualties. "This terrorist attack was designed to inflict the maximum casualties in the crowded areas of the city.

The design behind this attack was also to disrupt communal peace and harmony," the party's Politburo said in a statement.

It said the modus operandi of the explosions "revealed a common pattern with earlier attacks in other cities. The security agencies have to take all necessary steps to uncover the network of groups behind these outrages.

" Extending heartfelt condolences to the families who have suffered grievous losses, the CPI(M) urged the people of Jaipur to remain calm and united. It also demanded that no effort should be spared for medical treatment of the injured and the state government should take steps to provide relief and compensation to those who have lost their family members.
