Allahabad HC to hear appeal in Manjunath murder case on May 14

Lucknow, May 12 (PTI) The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court today fixed May 14 as the next date of hearing of the appeal filed by those convicted in Indian Oil Corporation sales officer S Manjunath murder case. A division bench comprising Justice KK Mishra and Justice Shabihul Hashnain passed the order on a request by the appelant's counsel.

The court began hearing the appeal against the punishment handed out to eight persons, including death penalty for a petrol pump owner, accused of killing Manjunath on May 8. Monu Mittal, the petrol pump owner who was convicted of killing S Manjunath on November 19, 2005, has challenged his sentence.
