Chikmagalur (KTK), May 10 (PTI) Electoral authorities today registered a criminal case against Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Meira Kumar for landing her helicopter without permission at the District Deputy Commissioner office ground here. Kumar, who was flying in the chopper to campaign for Congress in the district, had the necessary permission to land it at Gowdanahally, official sources said.

However, 'due to confusion', the pilot landed it on the DC office ground, despite objections by the authorities. Even as the electoral authorities were warning the pilot of violating the poll code, the pilot took off towards Bangalore.

Sources said the authorities have sounded their counterparts to seize the chopper in Bangalore. PTI.
