Hizbul commander arrested in J-K

Srinagar, May 10 (PTI) A top commander of Hizbul Mujahideen has been arrested by Jammu and Kashmir police in Shopian district, a police spokesman said today. Shahid-ul-Islam alias Shabir, divisional commander of Hizbul Mujahideen was arrested from Shopian district last night following a tip off, the spokesman said, adding that he was being questioned.

J-K police and security forces have apprehended at least eight top commanders of the outfit in the valley during the past four months. PTI.
