Porsche showcases new Panamera GTS at the Qatar Motor Show 2012

Porsche AG revealed the highlight of this year’s Qatar Motor Show with the premiere of the Panamera GTS. Matthias Müller, President and Chief Executive Officer of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, and Bernhard Maier, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing of Porsche AG, revealed the Panamera GTS.

Besides the Gran Turismo, the Doha show is centred around the new 911 Carrera Coupé and Cabriolet. “Our current model range places us in a very good position. The latest version of our sporty saloon can be used both on and off the race track. This is particularly highly regarded by our customers in the Middle East,” said Matthias Müller.

Bernhard Maier explains: “We also succeeded in surpassing our ambitious goals in the Middle East in 2011. We are kicking off the year by presenting the most important highlights to our loyal customers in Qatar, thereby setting the scene for further growth in 2012.” In 2011, Porsche sold significantly more vehicles in the Middle Eastern sales region, 7,945 new cars were delivered to customers, an increase of 16.1 per cent versus the previous year. The 911, Cayenne, Panamera, Boxster and Cayman sports cars were very popular, particularly in Dubai, where 1,503 units were sold.
