    Political temperatures at its zenith in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh

    Deoria/ Ghazipur/Lucknow, Feb 4 (ANI): With elections in Uttar Pradesh around the corner, political leaders are engaged in a war of words on a range of issues.

    Training guns on the Congress party over corruption, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said: "The Congress party will meet the same fate in Uttar Pradesh that it faced in Bihar. There is nothing the Congress can do now to save itself."

    "The corruption-tainted Congress party must clear the air over its role in the telecom scam case. Such a party cannot fulfill any dreams in Uttar Pradesh. The Congress can do whatever it wants to, but it will not succeed in Uttar Pradesh," Hussain told media in Deoria.

    Rashtriya Lokmanch Party chief Amar Singh slammed Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh for promising job and compensation to rape victims in the manifesto.

    "Mulayam Singh said 'if our party is voted to power, we will provide employment and compensation to rape victims.' There is an old relationship between incidence of rape and Mulayam Singh," Singh told a gathering in Ghazipur.

    Meanwhile, Union Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal has accused Mayawati-led Uttar Pradesh government of sponsoring corruption.

    "The way the present government has indulged in loot and I consider it to be government sponsored corruption. Corruption is in every state," Jaiswal told reporters in Lucknow.

    The polls in Uttar Pradesh are being viewed as an opportunity for major parties to re-establish their foothold in the country's fifth largest and most populous state.

    Polls in Uttar Pradesh will be conducted between February 8 and March 3, and counting will take place on March 6.

    A new 403-member state assembly will be elected in March. The poll results will broadly indicate trends for the 2014 general elections. (ANI)

      We all are talking about black money in Swiss, USA and European banks. Why don’t we ask to our self what happened to Gaddafi, Saddam Husain and their trillions of $ deposited in aforesaid banks, and Iran will have same fate . What is happening in Pakistan after opposing Drone strike on their army and people? First our politicians had looted us and deposited the money in foreign banks and now they become the puppet of USA due to that money. We should remove this Congress party and forget the money deposited in Swiss banks.

      don't drink too much Mr Jaiswal, as you are not in your senses.. why Congress and other opponents don't accept the fact that CM Mayawati is the best ever CM in UP who managed to provide an over 7% GDP even during these economic slowdowns..

      CM Mayawati is having better administrative skills, accompanied with refined social engineering capabilities, and her tenure of past 5 years provided increased growth, social harmony, improved infrastructure, education and Law & order conditions in UP..

      Sriprakash Jaiswal thinks corruption is their propriety and birth right.No other party is allowed to indulge in it.Thats why he is questioning Myawati about corruption."Mere Angnemein Tumhara Kya Kaam hai?"

      There is very little hope for the people of UP. As been happening there for decades which ever party comes to power they indulge only in corruption, open loot, lawlessness to flecee hapless people. Things are not going to be any different after this election also. Same parties, same tainted leaders are vying with each other and devising new 'hathkandas' to fool people for their vote. Similar is the situation in most of the states.

        @CM
        what you say could be correct for Congress and other parties, but CM Mayawati (BSP) has given a positive direction to UP with increased Growth of over 7% GDP and within the next 5 years there would also be increased foreign investments.. and many other mega projects are also under process..
