PIONEER! Akshay Kumar to interact with Pakistani media for Khiladi 786

Mumbai, Nov. 3 -- Known for his daredevil stunts, Akshay Kumar is now all set to do what no other Indian actor has done before. The actor is trying to reach out to Pakistani fans. On Sunday, Akshay has invited the Pakistani media for a press conference to talk about his upcoming film, Khiladi 786. "We've organised a live video press conference where Akshay will interact with the Pakistan media from Mumbai. Since he is busy shooting for back-to-back films, he was unable to travel to Pakistan. He wants to talk about 786, the number that Muslims consider holy, as it signifies Bismillah in the Arabic script. We will also showcase our new song, Saari Saari Raat to the Pakistan media," says an insider from the film's marketing team.

Akshay, who is back in his Khiladi avatar after a decade, is also believed to be excited about the event. "Akshay feels that if he can help make the situation better (between India and Pakistan) in any way, he will be game for it. So he immediately agreed when the team pitched the idea to him," adds the insider.

Akshay is keen on doing this, in spite of a packed schedule. "He is shooting for Naam Hai Boss, Special Chabbis, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2, besides managing the post-production and marketing of Khiladi 786," adds the source.

Despite repeated attempts, Akshay remained unavailable for a comment.

In 2009, Claudia Ciesla made an appearance in Bigg Boss Season 3. Later, she participated in the TV show, Zor Ka Jhatka. For a while, there were even rumours of a romantic link-up between her and Salman Khan. Now, the German model has got a break in Bollywood - an item number called Balma with Akshay Kumar in Khiladi 786.

Claudia says that it all happened very quickly. "Someone from Himesh's (Reshammiya, co-producer) office approached me about the item song. When I heard the number, I instantly liked it. And since all the formalities were done so quickly, I couldn't believe that I had got a song with Akshay Kumar. What made me say yes was that it's a very catchy and peppy number," explains Claudia.
