After putting allegations that Rs. 1,880 crore was spent from state exchequer for Congress President Sonia Gandhi's foreign trips and her treatment abroad, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has offered to tender a public apology if his allegation is found to be false. Earlier on Monday, Modi had accused the central government for the spending and quoted a regional newspaper while addressing the rally in Junagadh. However, the RTI activist, Ramesh Verma, who was mentioned in the newspaper quoted by Modi categorically, denied Modi's claims. Meanwhile, hitting out at Modi, Congress spokesperson Manish Tiwari said in New Delhi that Modi had been caught red-handed speaking lies.
