More than 30 people, mostly factory workers, today died of burns and shrapnel injuries in a huge fire triggered at a fire-crackers unit, Om Shakti factory in Mudalipetti, near Sivakasi, in Tamil Nadu. Around 75 people are injured in the accident. Over 300 people are believed to have been inside the factory, when the fire broke out. There are fears that the toll could rise. less
