Kasab’s journey to the gallows
It took four years – almost – to bring Kasab to justice. And this is the chronology of events, from November 26, 2008 onwards to the time he was hanged. Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, the Pakistani terrorist who butchered dozens of innocent Indians in cold blood in Mumbai on November 26, 2008, was on Wednesday hanged to death in Pune’s Yerawada Jail. And even as Pakistan continues to be in denial about its involvement in the most heinous terrorist strikes against India, the capture, the subsequent trial and the hanging of the terrorist prove beyond doubt Islamabad’s hostile attitude towards New Delhi. Here is the chronology of events, from November 26, 2008 onwards to the time Kasab was hanged on November 21, 2012.
