Minxia Wu Biography

Among the most decorated divers in history, Wu shows no signs of decline entering her third Olympics. To the contrary, she is the reigning FINA Diver of the Year. Wu's strongest event typically has been the 3m synchronized springboard, in which she won gold medals in both the 2004 and 2008 Olympics while teaming with Guo Jingjing. Guo is now retired, and Wu's new partner is He Zi. Wu and He have established themselves as no less of a force, capturing gold at the 2011 World Championships in Shanghai. Also in Shanghai, Wu won gold in the individual 3m springboard at the World Championships for the first time. She took home bronze from that event at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, and silver at the 2004 Athens Olympics.
