Washington, May 22 (ANI): President Barack Obama has attacked GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney business background arguing that it could help in running a company, but was not enough to run a country.
"When you are President, as opposed to when you are the head of a private equity firm, then your job is not simply to maximize profits," New York Daily News quoted Obama as saying.
Obama argued that a president must consider a bigger picture than merely the bottom line for wealthy investors.
"I think there are folks who do good work in that area," Obama said referring to Romney's tenure at the Bain Capital investment firm.
Obama's argument at a Chicago press conference at the end of a two-day NATO summit was a major slap at Romney's dream to become the president.
"This is not a distraction, this is what this campaign's going to be about," Obama said..."to move the country forward where everybody can succeed."
"Both the upside and the downside" of Romney's business experience "are worth examining," he added. (ANI)
