Washington, Sept. 18 (ANI): US President Barack Obama is leading by five points over Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in Virginia, according to a new poll.
According to the PPP's new Virginia poll, 51 percent Americans prefer Obama, compared to 46 percent who prefer Romney.
Obama's lead is unchanged from a month ago when the poll found him leading with 50 percent Support from Americans over 45 in the state.
According to Politico, he may not be seeing a bump from the convention in the state, but has a pretty good position.
Obama has a slight advantage over Romney (49-47) in terms of who voters trust more on the economy and a wider (51-45) edge over Romney on foreign policy.
The poll found that only 41 percent Americans said that they approved of Romney's reaction to the situation in Libya this week, while 48 percent expressed disapproval. (ANI)
