No proof of allegations against Ramdev: Police

New Delhi, Feb 22 (IANS) Baba Ramdev did not promote enmity between religious groups at a press conference here in January or provoke his supporters to assault a man who allegedly poured black ink on the yoga guru at the event, Delhi Police told a court here.

Metropolitan Magistrate Jasjeet Kaur was hearing the petition of Kamran Siddique, the suspected ink thrower who sought action against Baba Ramdev for allegedly speaking against the Muslim community and plotting the assault on him.

Soon after the ink pouring incident Jan 14, Siddique was booked for a separate case of promoting enmity between religious groups.

The police response to allegations against Baba Ramdev came on the direction of the court, which at its last hearing sought a status report on the ink pouring incident.

Siddique was allegedly beaten up by the yoga guru's supporters after the incident.

Metropolitan Magistrate Jasjeet Kaur after hearing the submission of both the sides listed the matter for next hearing for March 6.

Congress is the dangerous communal party who find everything in communal line. Attempt to make the anti-corruption movement as Hindu movements, false allegations against Modi in every day to frighten Muslims, false promises on the basis of religion and instigating minorities against Hindus etc are their routine work. Congress leaders destroyed and misinterpreted the word 'secularism' for selfish needs.
