Newt Gingrich wants Brad Pitt as his on-screen avatar

Washington, Feb 3 (ANI): Newt Gingrich thinks Brad Pitt should play him in a movie.

The Republican presidential hopeful was asked by syndicated radio host Rich Stevens late Wednesday, who should be cast in a movie about his life and Gingrich immediately replied "Brad Pitt".

However, the GOP member conceded that he doesn't share a resemblance with the 'Moneyball' actor.

"No, I don't look like him at all," the New York Daily News quoted him as saying.

    "He's thinner, he's better looking, he's younger."

"But you asked me if I could have anyone who could play me in a movie... why not go for Brad Pitt?" he said.

Gingrich has earlier drawn parallels between himself and Charles de Gaulle, Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher.

In his Florida concession speech on Tuesday night, he also compared his standing in the election to Abraham Lincoln on the eve of the Civil War. (ANI)
