NCTC row: Chidambaram writes to chief ministers

New Delhi, Feb.24 (ANI): Union Home Minister P Chidambaram has reportedly written a letter to the chief ministers of ten states, explaining the UPA Government's premise for setting up a National Counter Terrorism Agency by the first week of March.

A Home Ministry release said Chidambaram has written to the chief ministers of Bihar, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, in order to address their concerns on the anti-terror agency as per the directions of the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh.

"The PM has expressed concern. This is an issue of national importance. All of us are agreed that terrorism is a grave threat to our country, which we all have to deal with. Fighting terror is a shared responsibility," he told the protesting chief ministers.

It maybe recalled that these chief ministers had strongly objected to the establishment of the NCTC, saying it was in violation of the federal structure that India represents, and insisted that since law and order is a state subject, state governments need to be consulted on the issue.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday to discuss the issue.

Singh assured Banerjee that he would ask Chidambaram to address their concerns.

Chidambaram said on Friday that he had asked Union Home Secretary R.K. Singh to hold consultations with all state police chiefs and heads of anti-terror organisations and added that he will be happy to receive comments from the state governments on the issue. (ANI)

Looks like an essay competition. Ministers write to PM about NCTC; PM writes back to them; chidu writes to PM. What is this, congress drama or defence drama? One thing is certain, this NCTC drama would be a flop.

Indian judicial system is one of the most corrupt in the world. But for this national liability (corrupt judicial system), the bandit Chidambaram would have been jails for IOB and Harshad Mehta scams long time back. In UPA I, he only looted whatever he touched as FM. In UPA II, this curse on Indians want to cover them up using CBI, IB, NIA and now NCTC. Who trusts a word of this bandit and a national liability?

If any thing is done not for the purpose it is meant for, it is going to be a big flop and embarrass Congress. They aim somewhere else and target in some other direction. Congress feels they are the only intellectuals left in this country. Congress is in fact a supporter of terrorism that can be judged by various statements of Diggy who has backing of Sonia and Rahul. Congress queen and prince both hate Hindus and support Muslims. See who is her advisor. Lungi is another intelligent in congress ministry and does not feel like face to face meeting an his lungi will be exposed. Let him write a letter, his idea will be a big flop.

We have the history of getting commissions from the coffins of the Soldiers who give their life to the service of the country. The Babus and so called politicians would be sitting in AC chambers that are provided by the public money can certainly talk of NCTC, etc. First let them prove to the people of India that they are not living in public money and does not take commissions from the dead bodies of the people of India.

Hard earned freedom is at stake.Terrorism is global problem and has to be faught globally. At present the dispute is between state and center.Soon it will become intra and inter state. In the event of some unfortunate incident GOD forbid, those opposing the central coordinating orgnisition will blame center and make a political issue and the simple public will believe them, does not matter, how many innocent people would have lost their lives. And if they convince the public, claim moral victory and may be the elections. But nation would have lost.Who cares.

Why for anything and everything, there is arrogance and high-handedness.Was it a crime to consult the CMs before this idea was mooted out by centre.Out of anxiety every time UPA is doing something and then again backtracking. Is it not further degrading for them? Or they have become thick skinned?Their cabinet colleagues are giving some loose comments and again withdrawing. What message it is sending to the people of this country as well as the international arena? Are they concerned about it at all?We feel ashamed to be under such a govt.

Anything and everything would be discussed but the black-money issue by this 2G scamster P Chiddu. He is not to be holding the seat of Home minister as per the expectations of the people of the country. The right to reject is not there unreasonably and so this corrupt minister is adhering to the chair. shame shame shame . What's the use of this NCTC when the already caught terrorists are being released to get the Muslim-votes.? shame on congress

ACADEMIC & JUDICIAL CORRUPTIONS & Terror
An old saying that a country/institution which does not give justice to its people or which does not regard its learned ones, gets ruined sooner or later. A very strong corruption control law is most needed in whimsical judiciary and academics as documented herein. IITs NOT BEING WORLD CLASS INSTITUTIONS because it is well on record that IIT Roorkee’s once famous Civil Engineering Department had about a dozen full fledged professors who could never earn a Ph.D. degree or publish any significant research papers despite their best efforts and fullest administrative backing and this fact was well known to the Ministry of Education (now MHRD) who never viewed this truth with any kindness. On top of this, the academic administration of this IIT (the oldest former technical Higher Learning University of India/Asia), backed also by such non-PhD jealous virus professors, sabotaged (including plagiarizing) the research work of the highly internationally renowned professor colleague through all kinds of possible illegal actions manifested by as many as 20 to 30 writ petitions filed to nullify the illegal actions repeatedly taken without any regard of natural justice. These are well recorded facts also known to the MHRD. If an institutional index (integrated effect of the various Institutional components including the credentials of the faculty) or teacher/faculty index (integrated effect of the research potential, teaching ability, qualifications, etc of every faculty member) for all IITs are worked out and compared with world class Institutions, then the truth will come out. Merit is totally disregarded in the Indian system as manifested by the fact that India is branded as a developing third world country despite the fact that it has the highest manpower of highly qualified hard working genius persons in almost all disciplines in the entire world or on world basis. Numerous examples will show that the merited ones in India will find their habitat only in the dust-bins. If India can rise above caste, region, and relative considerations and sincerely rely on merit then alone the IITs would become world class Institutions. A research paper entitled “A NEW METHOD OF EVALUATING TECHNOLOGICAL RESEARCH TEACHERS’ by Prof. Devendra S. Bhargava, published in the International Journal for Development Technology, England, Vol.5, 1987 pp.27-38, contents of which were comprehensively highlighted by the PTI news flash, can be of great help to compare the various IITs, their faculty, and their nearness to the world class. An Institution’s three main pillars, viz. the faculty, the students and the reputation are interdependent. This is proved by the fact that now the best students do not opt for Roorkee IIT which was in news for vulgar activities too. This Institution manipulated to pass a twice failed student and encouraged students to pressurize their teachers for 90% marks. A recent case example manifests glorifies and testifies this aspect when the Hon’ble UttraKhand High Court at Nainital upheld (after intensive arguments) a reply to a RTI query made in the year 2007 that “an information pertaining to the year 1994 was more than twenty years old in the year 2007” (vide the Writ Petition No.726 of the year 2008) and such a whimsically arbitrary judgment could be given because the Hon’ble courts in India are not obliged to give reasons for their decision or judgment. SuperGodly whims manifest communist regime
