New Delhi, Nov 1 (IANS) A 28-year-old man stabbed his younger brother to death here for abusing their mother over a property dispute, police said Thursday. The accused has been arrested
Irfan, a daily wage labourer, stabbed to death Abdul, 25, around 11 p.m. Wednesday at their Nihal Vihar house in west Delhi. Irfan was arrested from the same area Thursday.
According to police, Abdul, also a daily wage worker, had been disowned by his mother Saira Bano, 58, who lived in the house with her two other sons - Irfan and Ibrahim, 22.
"Abdul visited the house on previous occasions as well and demanded his share in the property but was rebuffed by his mother," said a police official.
Irfan did not like Abdul abusing his mother over the property dispute, police said.
On Wednesday night, Irfan and Abdul had a heated argument on the property issue during which he stabbed the latter on the head and in the abdomen, killing him on the spot.
