Man City defender Zabaleta cold-shoulders Barcelona after Etihad pay hike

London, May 23(ANI): Manchester City right-back Pablo Zabaleta has snubbed Barcelona, after the Etihad outfit increased his salary by 10,000 pounds per week.

Overthrow La Liga giants Barca, who want him to team up with his close pal Lionel Messi next season, have targeted the Argentine fullback.

But Zabaleta, 27, has quickly made it clear to the Premier League champions he is desperate to stay at the Etihad, the Sun reports.

And that will earn him an improved deal, even though City have no plans to extend his contract as he is already tied to them until 2015. (ANI)
