Man City say Balotelli's Twitter a/c is fake after camouflage pic emerges

London, December 4 (ANI): Manchester City have dashed the hopes of Twitter users across the world after they exposed a Mario Balotelli account as fake.

Although the account had not been verified, the personal nature of the photos posted had suggested the Italian international was behind it - or at least someone very closely connected to him, the Metro reported.

But now his club have denied he is on the social network.

"Please note, Mario Balotelli does not have a Twitter account," the Blues wrote on their Twitter account.

'All those posing as him are fake. If he joins, we will let you know! #mcfc'

The account holder had posted a snap of Balotelli wearing a camouflage 'onesie', surrounded by a similarly decorated car (assumingly his Bentley Continental GT) and quad bike with the caption "i am ready for the match today", in relation to City's Premier League home game against Everton. (ANI)
