Wellington, Sep 20(ANI): New Zealand batsman Martin Guptill has said he isn't aware how their opening line up would look when they play their first Twenty20 World Cup match against Bangladesh at the Pallekele Cricket Stadium on Friday, despite being asked the same question repeatedly by journalists.
The assumption is that Guptill will open with James Franklin, with Brendon McCullum to follow at first drop.
"Not too sure yet. We'll have a meeting about that tomorrow when we get told what the team's going to be so, until then, I'm not too sure," Stuff.co.nz quoted Guptill, as saying.
"I enjoy batting with Franky. We've had a couple of good partnerships in Twenty20 cricket over the last couple of years so hopefully we can continue that on and we compliment each other quite well when we bat together," he added. (ANI)
