Katrina Kaif: There was lot of intimidation with Shahrukh Khan

While Katrina Kaif is busy gearing up for her upcoming release EK THA TIGER with Salman Khan, which hits the screens on 15th August, her shooting for Yash Chopra's untitled film starring Shahrukh Khan is also going in full swing. While Katrina is quite used to working with Salman as the duo has worked together in films like MAINE PYAAR KYUN KIYA, PARTNER, HELLO, YUVVRAAJ in the past, with Shahrukh it was her first ever experience to share the screen space. And the lady was quite intimidated!

Katrina on her experience working with Bollywood badshah, "With Shahrukh Khan initially there was lot of intimidation, from my side because I really didn't know him that well. I probably said five words to him in my entire life. I have seen him around but it's only now that I am working with him. When I came here I worked with so many people but never really got to interact with him. I have been in the film industry for nine years. He is constantly in the news, TV, everywhere around. SO for me that little intimidation was always, which I later found funny and I didn't realize why it was so. It's strange!"

"Shahrukh as a co-star is extremely dedicated. He doesn't think about himself and never showing off his stardom/seniority. He took extra time to stand and rehearse the lines with me and help me out there. He is extremely helpful. As he's also worked with Yashji in many films he knows what he wants and what is to be done." She adds.

Though Katrina is associated with YRF right from the time she did the film NEW YORK, it seems she never really interacted with Yash Chopra extensively. It was only while shooting for this untitled film Yashji and Katrina got to know each other.

Katrina reveals, "Yashji is incredibly sweet and nice person. It took him a while to understand me. When he used to talk to me off the set, he told me, 'I can't make out whether you are happy, or sad or angry.' I told Yashji it's just me; it takes me a while, but you will understand soon enough. Now we crack jokes with each other."

The film also stars Anushka Sharma, who is yet another favourite of YRF camp. "Anushka and I had lots of fun together while doing scenes. We were making up our own movie as we were shooting and we would amuse ourselves by writing alternate scenes," says the actress.

Besides Shahrukh and Salman Khan, Katrina is also working with Aamir Khan in DHOOM:3 and with the same camp. So, ask her if she feels overwhelmed to work with the three khans of Bollywood together and she says, "No, I don't get overwhelmed working with the three Khans of Bollywood. I have not started working with Aamir yet. Though I met him for few times for the film DHOOM:3, I will start shooting for it in September. I am not working simultaneously with all of them. There has been ample amount of space and time between each of the films with each of the actors. EK THA TIGER is releasing now. We are still shooting for Yashji's untitled film starring Shahrukh Khan alongside and have not even started DHOOM 3."
