Katherine Jackson denies being drugged

London, July 27 (ANI): Michael Jackson's mother Katherine has vehemently refuted the reports, which suggested that she was drugged when she called up her grandchildren during her mysterious 10-day absence.

The 82-year-old denied being kidnapped or drugged - insisting she had just wanted a rest.ut some observers have claimed that she was slurring her words as she read a prepared statement - and sources told TMZ that they feared she "may be under the influence of drugs".

"Katherine called the house and sounded drugged," the Mirror quoted a source close to the children as telling the tabloid.

"They are very concerned about the video conference and don't think their grandma was acting normally. No one is certain but they are trying to see if Katherine was prescribed any pills while she was away.

"The kids had been cut off from her - and they wanted TJ in charge while the situation resolves itself," the source said.

Prince and Paris signed forms giving TJ consent to be their guardian - effectively pushing out Katherine and giving TJ access to the King of Pop's estimated 638-million-pound estate.

It also means she could lose millions in perks as she has been allegedly picking up around 50,000 pounds-a-month in child care payments which helped the family live a life of luxury.

"There are rumours going around that I've been kidnapped and held against my will. I am here today to let everybody know that I am fine," Katherine said.

"My children would never do a thing to me like that, holding me against my will. It's very stupid for people to think that. The court ruling was about the guardianship and I think it was based on a bunch of lies.

"But I have a good idea who's doing that... who's behind it. My guardianship has been taken away," she said.

Giving her televised account, Katherine was surrounded by Janet, Jermaine, Rebbie and Rebbie's daughter as she denied claims she had not spoken to her grandkids and was locked away by her kids.

Katherine also said she had fired cousin Trent and his security team after a family clash.

She also claimed a cook, nanny and housekeepers were fired without her permission.

While reading her statement, Katherine broke off a couple of times and family members helped her find her place.

"There's a lot of lies that have been put out there and I am going home to straighten them out, and this kind of stuff doesn't make sense," she said.

Asked about claims she had been drugged, Katherine's lawyer Perry Sanders said: "I'm looking forward to getting hold of her to ascertain what's been going on."

It's believed he will then ask the court to reinstate her as guardian. (ANI)
