Jaiswal demands apology from BJP for demanding PM resignation in 2G case

Gorakhpur, Feb 3 (ANI): Lashing out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over the 2G spectrum case, Union Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal has demanded an apology from the party after the Supreme Court gave a clean chit to the Prime Minister on the issue.

"The BJP even demanded the resignation of Manmohan Singh in this issue but the Supreme Court has given him a clean chit. Now what has the BJP got to say? They should first apologise to the Prime Minister for asking his resignation, Jaiswal told media here after the apex court quashed 122 spectrum licences granted after January 2008.

"The apex court's decision of giving a clean chit to Manmohan Singh is a slap on the face of BJP, if the BJP has any self-respect, they should remember their limitations next time," he said.

"In the same way, they should not make advance plans in the matter concerning Home Minister P. Chidambaram, they should maintain limits. When the court takes a decision it will be followed, if the order is not in his favour, that order will also be followed, but the BJP should stay in limits and not blurt out things in excitement," Jaiswal added.

Jaiswal also clarified his party's stance in the matter by ordering an investigation by the the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and welcomed the verdict stating that the orders would be followed to the letter.

"If we had thought that spectrum was correct we would have never ordered a CBI enquiry into that case, if we had thought that spectrum was correct the then telecom minister would not have been in prison. We have always maintained that there were irregularities and the Supreme Court's verdict to terminate the spectrum licenses then those orders will be followed," said Jaiswal.

The apex court on Thursday quashed 122 spectrum licences granted after January 2008, and asked a trial court to decide whether Chidambaram needs to be probed for his role in the spectrum case.

The apex court verdict was in response to Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy's petition seeking a CBI probe into Chidambaram's alleged role in the spectrum scam, and on two pleas filed by noted lawyer Prashant Bhushan seeking cancellation of 2G licences and the setting up of a SIT to probe the scam.

Swamy had on January 7 submitted documents seeking prosecution of Chidambaram in the case before a Delhi court.he telecom scam, one of India's biggest graft cases ever, may have cost 39.57 billion dollars in expected revenue losses to the public exchequer as per the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India's report. After all the Sibals,Chidambarams and Singhals heve been cornered by the recent verdicts, the second line of chamchas like Jaiswals have surfaced to save the blackened face of Congress. These people, instead of keeping quiet, talk most rubbish and nonsense things which damages the party's image more than the court decisions. Does Sonia never watch TV or read newspapers ?

Jaiswal is shining example of: if you give power to a greedy beast, he/she becomes too arrogant. This bandit Jaiswal has created records in looting in Coal Ministry and is responsible for most of the thermal power stations not getting enough coal. This animal should be in jail and not a ruling minister.

Jaiswal seems to be a joker. Why should BJP tender an apology? PM must resign immediately,If he has any shame left in him. He is headng the most corrupt govt in the world.

      Jaiswalji,

Pehle apna kaam kijiye ministersahab. There is severe power shortage in the entire country primarily because of non-availabilty of coal. Has been there since UPA has come to power once again. If you all want power we want normal power.

Actually if UPA has any shame left the government needs to go not just the PM & the Home Minister (earlier FM who signed off the 2G deals)! Please do not lead us into total darkness.

Sir, thousands of young people lost their jobs in 2G scam because of corruption in higher echelon of ruling political class. The recent judgement about cancellation of licenses has compounded their problem as they will not get the job immediately. The youth who lost the jobs belonged to 35 yrs to 48 yrs of age group. At this stage the people virtually settle and try to shape their future but no one is thinking about their life who had lost their future. We can imagine the problem they might be facing really unthinkable.

Have you seen this Jaiswal in the parliament. He gets angry when there is commotion and simply sits down and demands silence of a meditation hall to even speak or reply. Nice way of evading questions. LOL... and then sushil Kuma Shinde and Jaiswal work like they live on opposite poles and PM does not understand that coal and power ministry should jointly be responsible to answer the question hour questions.. they all work indepdently if you dint know... nice way of passing the buck.

Another pimp in the making in shape of Jaiswal.First he should be within his limits and understand law.Does jaiswal or any of his party pimps have the minimum culture of what to talk, how to talk, when to talk and where to talk?It clearly indiactes bankrupy of civility of language of this party.
