Jab Tak Hai Jaan: Rani Mukerji to call all the shots for premiere's guest list

Mumbai, Nov. 11 -- That actor Rani Mukerji is rather close to the late filmmaker Yash Chopra's family is common knowledge. And for quite a while now, given her alleged relationship with his son and filmmaker Aditya Chopra, there have been reports of her strong grip on the daily workings at Yash Raj Studios. Now it seems she is getting into the operational aspects of the studio as well.

A highly-placed industry insider reveals that the actor is taking a call on the guest list of talked about premiere of Chopra's last directorial venture, Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ), on November 12. The film is will release on Diwali day (November 13). "She is making the invitee list. She will take a call on who is to be invited from within the industry and outside for the premiere," says the source.

The media has not been invited for the event taking place at Yash Raj Studios. "It will have luminaries from all walks of life and big stars from the industry, including actors who have worked under the YRF banner and some who were not as lucky to do so," says the source. The film's cast and crew will be also present.

Asked if Rani is looking into the security measures to ensure that the event goes off hassle-free, and the source says, "She won't be looking into that department. There are enough people to make sure that there is no security lapse."

JTHJ is a love story that features Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.
