'CM framing Amar, Bachchan'

Mulayam Singh Yadav has alleged that Chief Minister Mayawati is fabricating cases against SP general secretary Amar Singh and actor Amitabh Bachchan. "While raids are being conducted at Amar Singh's residence, Bachchan has been implicated in a false case," Yadav said while releasing a CD in which a police officer, K K Dwivedi, is shown admitting that he is working under tremendous pressure.

"I am investigating the case, but it is being directly reviewed by the IG, DIG, DGP and Principal Secretary, Home," Dwivedi says in the CD, adding that a "chargesheet will be filed in the case for sure". Though UP DGP Vikram Singh confirmed that Dwivedi was in Kolkata to investigate the case, the police there said they had no information about any raids in the city.
