Washington, July 29 (ANI): Louisiana's Indian-origin Governor Bobby Jindal has continued his role as surrogate campaigner for presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, stumping through three Iowa towns for the candidate.
Jindal has been busy over the past three months making appearances for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and other GOP causes, reports Nola.com.
Jindal's spokeswoman Shannon Bates said the governor has gone to "participate in campaign events" for Romney in Coralville, Newton and West Des Moines, Iowa.
According to records supplied by the governor's office, Jindal has left the state to campaign for Romney, for the 16th time since May, appearing at GOP fundraisers or other party-related functions, or on a national Sunday morning talk show.
Jindal's previous trips out of state were July 14 when he spoke at a meeting of the Nebraska Republican Party state convention in Grand Island, and July 18 when he traveled to Columbus, Ohio to attend other Romney campaign functions and attend a fund-raiser for Ohio state Treasurer Josh Mandel, who is running for U.S. Senate.
The 15 trips for which Jindal's office provided documentation spanned a period from May 3 to Thursday.
Jindal is one of several Republicans who Romney reportedly is considering as a possible vice presidential running mate. Romney is scheduled to be in England, Poland and Israel for the next few days. (ANI)
