Mumbai, May 14 (IANS) In the wake of serial blasts in Jaipur, security has been beefed up at the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket match venue here Wednesday.

'Additional police personnel are being deployed along with bomb disposal squads at the Wankhede Cricket Stadium in south Mumbai where an IPL match will be played between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings Wednesday,' Mumbai Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare told reporters here. He said no arrests have been made in Mumbai for the Jaipur blasts nor anybody from the city was killed in the pink city terror strike. Karkare said that Jaipur blasts were similar to those that took place in Malegaon in Maharashtra Sep 8, 2006. Maharashtra Director General of Police A.N. Roy said: 'We will extend full support and cooperation in the investigations and, if required, send a team there (to Jaipur) from Mumbai.' The police have raised road barricades at various intersections and sniffer dogs are being deployed at crowded places like railways stations. Metal detectors are in place at entry points in busy markets.
