New Delhi, May 14 (IANS) The terror strike in Jaipur that killed at least 63 people and injured 90 was aimed at disrupting communal peace and harmony, the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) said Wednesday.

Condemning the terror blasts that tore through Jaipur's walled city Tuesday evening, the CPI-M politburo said in a statement: 'The modus operandi of the explosions reveal a common pattern with earlier attacks in other cities. The security agencies have to take all necessary steps to uncover the network of groups behind these outrages.' The politburo also said the attack was designed to inflict the maximum casualties in the congested walled city area. 'The design behind this attack is also to disrupt communal peace and harmony. We appeal to the people of Jaipur to remain calm and united,' the party said, urging the state government to take all steps to provide relief and compensation to the victims and their families.
