New Delhi, July 3 (ANI): The Foreign Secretary of Pakistan, Jalil Abbas Jilani, will arrive here today on a three-day day visit during which he will hold talks with his Indian counterpart Ranjan Mathai.
Jilani, who will arrive at the IGIA, Terminal III, around 2 p.m. will hold delegation-level talks at Hyderabad House here at around 10: 30 a.m. on Wednesday.
New Delhi is expected to put forward the revelations made by arrested LeT terrorist Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal in connection with the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks during the talks. The two sides are also expected to discuss various issues of strategic importance.
Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram had earlier said Abu Jundal had a very safe haven in Pakistan and that India believes that the control room could not have been established without state support.
He said that Pakistan should admit that he did go there and that he was present in the control room established, and that he had a role to play in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
Chidambaram said that LeT founder Hafiz Saeed was in the control room in Pakistan with Jundal during 26/11 Mumbai carnage.
Abu Jundal was arrested on his arrival from Saudi Arabia at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport by Delhi Police on June 21.
He is in the custody of the Delhi Police Special Cell till July 5.
According to reports, Jundal has admitted his active role in the 26/11 attack, saying he had worked in tandem with terror mastermind Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi.
He has during his interrogation confessed his role in the country's worst terror attack and admitted that he was present in the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) control room in Karachi from where direction was being to the 10 terrorists who carried out the strike.
Jilani will also call on External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna at the South Block here on Thursday evening. He will fly back to Pakistan on Friday. (ANI)
