Hague, July 10 (Xinhua-ANI): The International Criminal Court in The Hague has sentenced the Congolese warlord Thomas Lubanga to 14 years in prison.
Lubanga, a former politician of the Democratic Republic of Congo was found guilty of recruiting and using child soldiers in his rebel army between 2002 and 2003.
Campaign group Human Rights Watch says more than 60,000 people were killed in the conflict between Hema and Lendu ethnic groups in Ituri in northeastern DR Congo.
He was convicted in March 2012, the first verdict since the court was established in 2002. (Xinhua-ANI)
