Farrukhabad (Uttar Pradesh), Oct.27 (ANI): The Farrukhabad District Administration on Saturday gave permission to the.
Arvind Kejriwal-led India Against Corruption (IAC) to hold a rally in the area after the latter staged a protest outside the city magistrate"s office.
Earlier, the Farrukhabad administration had denied permission to the IAC to hold demonstration to expose the alleged irregularities of the Zakir Husain Memorial Trust, which is owned and run by Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid and his wife Louise Khurshid.
Saturday's protest was led by IAC convenor Laxman Singh and his associates. The rally will be held on November 1, as scheduled.
A letter has been sent to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav requesting that he give permission for Kejriwal"s programme in Farrukhabad. (ANI)
