Srijita De who plays the lead in Annu ki ho Gayee Waah Bhai Waah, is upset. She read a report in which her co-star Riddheema Tiwari has stated that Srijita is insecure.
De wonders why she, the protagonist, would be insecure of an actress who has an 'insignificant' role? She adds that other characters, Devika and Laveena have come and gone but the focus has remained on her. "Mahek isn't all that important," she says of Tiwari's character.
Could the controversy be a TRP-grabbing gimmick? Srijita doesn't think so. It is learnt that things went sour between Srijita and Riddheema during a recent shoot.
The scene showed that a male chef who works at the hero's restaurant is actually De in disguise. There was an item dance by Kashmera Shah.
Reportedly, both De and Tiwari were unhappy with their costumes and make-up. De denies this.
Apparently, the channel and costume designer had a spat, not the actresses. Wasn't Tiwari's costume brighter and hers too drab? De says that since Tiwari is the vamp, her clothes have to be 'flashier.
