Yash Raj Films can't promote movie online

Viewers looking forward to downloading music, caller tunes and wallpapers of the Yash Raj film Thoda Pyar, Thoda Magic will be disappointed, with the Bombay High Court restraining the production house from creating third-party rights in the forthcoming film. Justice D.Y. Chandrachud on Friday restrained Yash Raj Films from "directly and indirectly giving any permission or licence for use, display or access to the content or publicity material in respect of all its movies, present and future and in particular the movie Thoda Pyar, Thoda Magic".

This follows a suit filed by Onyx Musicabsolute. com Private Limited, after it learnt that Yash Raj Films had created a 'YRF zone' and a YRF official TV/Video channel on Youtube.

com. Yash Raj Films had earlier terminated a contract with Onyx alleging breach of contract.

On March 24, the HC restrained Yash Raj Films from creating further third-party rights in respect of Tashan, an earlier release.
