Rahul Mahajan, son of late Pramod Mahajan, who has long talked about getting into film production, is finally ready to plunge in. His first film will be directed by Mahesh Aney, the National Award-winning cinematographer of Swades.

The laugh riot will see Javed Jafferey enacting four roles. It will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule in Bangkok from the first week of August.

Talking about his directorial debut, Aney says it is based on a Gujarati stage play, Amhe Lay Gaya Tamhe Ray Gaya, which starred Sharman Joshi. "The play was also made in Hindi with Javed Jafferey taking over from Sharman," informs Aney.

It's original Apart from his work as a cinematographer, Aney has also directed several ad films and TV shows. "I helmed the initial 80 episodes of Movers and Shakers.

Everyone would tell me then that I was copying from a foreign TV show, so my first film is an original script by an Indian," he laughs. The plot revolves around a 55-year-old multi-millionaire who discovers that his young wife is having an affair with his PA. Caught, the lovers knock him down and presuming he is dead, whisk his corpse away.

Then the advocate arrives with his will and the duo are shocked to learn that he had made three separate wills and but none of them are signed. Where there's a will Meanwhile, two other suitors of the lady arrive.

What follows is a roller-coaster ride to think of a way to snag the millions up for grabs with three lookalikes being trained to impersonate the multi-millionaire. The fun begins when the real rich man also arrives to complicate matters.

Aney has spent a lot of time on the script with Prayag Raj and Rishabh Purohit who is writing the dialogue. "I am thinking of getting a couple of more writers on board as I am not too happy with the opening scenes.

Hopefully, I'll finish soon. I don't want Javed's dates to go waste," he says.

Aney's chief assistant, Arif Sheikh, will be the film's cinematographer. Says the director, "Arif has been with me for 18 years and I am sure we will be in complete sync.
