Other popular blogs review food and talk about the city's specialities. What does having a popular blog get you? A whole lot of moolah.

Ravi Kumar is a full time blogger and makes over Rs 40,000 per month through his blog, which is only a couple of years old. That's about Rs 20,000 more than what a graduate, copywriter or editor would earn in publishing with four years of experience.

It's even more than some engineering graduates make in a month. With advertisers keen to get visibility on popular blogs earning money has never been easier and average earnings begin around Rs 5,000 and can go up to Rs 40,000 per month.

Amit Gupta, Founder member of the Delhi Blog and New Media group, says, "People are making enough money to quit their day jobs and live off their blogs.".
