Incredible and unstoppable

The launch of Shobhaa D and #233;'s latest book, Superstar India - From Incredible to Unstoppable saw the large hall at the Taj Mahal hotel filled to the brim with the city's who's who - Satish and Kiran Gujral, Ritu Kumar, Kishwar Desai, Amar Singh, Krishen Khanna, Leila Seth, Suhel Seth, Jatin Das, Madhu and Naresh Trehan, Sonal Mansingh and Amjad Ali Khan, among many others. The evening kickstarted with a welcome address by Penguin India CEO and president, Mike Ryan, followed by a book reading by ad-man Suhel Seth.

But it was Hindustan Times editorial director Vir Sanghvi's t and #234;te- and #224;-t and #234;te with D and #233; that proved to be the highlight of the evening. The author answered questions relating to her book with her signature blend of wit and humour.

The biggest buzz, however, seemed to be around D and #233;'s attire - "What a gorgeous sari!" was the line heard throughout the evening.
