A minor girl was raped and killed in Nagla Jassa area under Sadar Police station of Agra district. The dead body of the girl was found in nearby forest area today morning.
The girl was from 'dalit' community and one of the accused, also from dalit community, has been arrested while another accused is absconding. It appears that the girl was strangulated to death.
Case has been registered at Sadar police station. The incident happened in Nagla Jassa area, near Bundu Katra, under Sadar Police station of Agra.
The twelve year old minor girl was missing last night and her dead body was traced in the jungles, close to house, early morning today. Prima facie it appeared that girl was raped and than strangulated to death.
Angry locals blocked roads till police reached the spot today morning. "One of the two accused named Vijay, living closed to the house of the deceased girl, has been arrested and a search is on for other accused," revealed Sanjeev Kumar Vajpayee, the additional S.P. of Sadar Circle.
The body of the girl was sent for post mortem. "A case has been registered at the Sadar Police station," added ASP Sadar, Sanjeev Vajpayee.
