What happens when two shows come up with the same name? And the shows are to be telecast on channels that belong to the same franchise? In this case it's Sony and Sab TV..
both their shows are named Krazy Kiya Re. Truth be told Apart from the title, however, they are as different as chalk and cheese.
The one on Sab is a musical talent hunt.
the other is a daily produced by Balaji Telefilms.
The promos for the Sab show are already on air while the Sony soap is still under wraps. Anooj Kapoor, channel head, Sab TV, says Krazy Kiya Re will premiere on May 9.
Perizaad Zorabian and Sachin Pilgaonkar will host it. On the controversy surrounding the name, Kapoor says that it's not a problem as Sony and Sab are sister concerns.
"Eventually, Sony may change the name of their show," he says. Albert Almeida, channel head, is reluctant to discuss the issue.
"The name hasn't been agreed upon yet," he says.
