It's been almost eight years and Rajnikanth has refused to bite the bait. Even Subhash Ghai couldn't persuade the southern superstar.
They had worked together in Uttar Dakshin. This week, the dubbed Hindi version of one of Rajnikanth's biggest hits, Chandramukhi, will be released.
The film had a record three-year run in the south, grossing an unbelievable amount of Rs 150 crore. Priyadarshan's Bhool Bhulaiyya was inspired by this film.
According to the trade, with no other releases this week, Chandramukhi is expected to do well in the context of a dubbed movie. There are, however, no signs of the dubbed Hindi version of Rajnikanth's blockbuster, Shivaji-The Boss, which made huge waves last year.
