    Happy Italians are being treated well: Mistura

    Kochi, Feb 23 (IANS) Italy's Deputy Foreign Minister Staffan de Mistura said Thursday that he was happy the way the two Italian Marines arrested for killing two Indian fishermen are being treated.

    'We have expressed our appreciation in the manner in which they have been treated,' the minister told reporters here.

    Mistura arrived here Wednesday night and then drove to Kottayam for a two- hour meeting with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.

    Two Indian fishermen, Ajesh Binki and Gelastine, were allegedly mistaken as pirates and shot dead by the security crew of cargo vessel Enrica Lexie Feb 15 off Alappuzha. Two Marines have been arrested for the shooting.

    Latorre Massimillano and Salvatore Girone were remanded by a court in Kollam, 150 km from here, to 14 days of police custody.

    A petition was filed in the Kerala High Court on behalf of two Marines Wenesday seeking quashing of the murder charges filed against them in the trial court.

      Our police is one of the very bests.We have good police officers.They know how to handle things fairly and deal things quite reasonably.This case is an entirely different case,it involves delicate legal problems and diplomatic issues.Even though the culprits are murderers,we cannot handle the problem like a mere murder case.Both the countries have to ascertain whether the case occurred with in the international waters or within our line of control..More over Italy acted fairly though they argue for their case.We can fully believe in our judicial system and police.They will not leave these culprits simply go if the inhumane incidents on innocent fisher men occurs with in our waters.Believe in our system.

      Dont worry about treat of foreign nations in India.They will be treated as our guests even they are killers.Dont you know that we gave a safe bail out to Union Carbide chairman even after they caused to kill more than 12,000 people with the help high time politicians? And now they are from ITALY(we are ready to accept an ITALIAN AS PM) AND KILLED ONLY TWO.SO dont worry minister we will take care of them.

      In our India best treatment in prison is always given to foreigners. Take the case of Kasab. How many Indians are treated well in foreign jails ? Italians, they will get superbest treatment as there is someone who will look after their and her own interests.
