Gold plated dosa in Bangalore a huge hit

Bangalore, Jan 4 (ANI): A restaurant in Bangalore is witnessing large footfalls, since the debut of their latest delicacy, a gold-plated dosa, which is priced at a whooping Rs. 1,011.

One of the restaurateurs chanced upon the idea of creating these unusual delicacies, when he was surfing on the Internet for strategies to make his eatery stand out among other city's food outlets.

"I wanted to do something in restaurant business, so I thought why can't we do something different, so when I once saw in a television channel that they are using gold foils for pizzas and ice creams, which cost 1000 dollars, thought why can't we get this to Bangalore and use it on something else?" said Chandan Lokesh, owner of the restaurant.

Priced at an exorbitant rate, the dish is roasted crisp with a hint of olive oil and has a filling of mashed potatoes, in addition to the gold foil for the finishing touch.

The restaurant also serves a dosa covered with a silver foil, at an affordable price of Rs. 151.

According to media reports, the marketing strategy by owners has made the gold dosa a huge success.

"I got to know about this through my friends that they sell gold dosa over here and I wanted to try it. After I tried it, I liked it so much that I am eating it for the fourth time and I want others also to come and try here and this is ISO certified dosa, it's really good for the health," said Nagashree, a resident.

The owners have planned to patent the gold dosa in the future. (ANI)'

        Exactly.
Gold salts are used as medicine for rheumatism, but in small amounts. Excess is harmful.

What non sense? Gold does not kill. It has been used since ancient times as medicine etc. Gold plated delicacies we have been eating since childhood. In any case all of us are inching towards death every second, isn't it?

ISI Can certify the gold content. But Health authorities must approve the Dosai. The Income tax Commissioner of Bangalore must soon visit that Restaurant and see whether the Bills are accounted and the Sales Tax Commissioner must check the volume of Dosai sales and Bills. Hope by now the Hospitals Beds would have been filled with stomach Complaints and their Occupancy rate is more. The head cook would have already developed immitation gold foils and swindled the original Gold if at all supplied by the Owner of the Hotel. Gold becomes shit. At least Public must altogether stop vying vehemently with GOLD so that its Price may come down paving way for people really want it for marriage etc.

Hear this carefully. Gold is a metal( and pretty heavy one at that). Metals( since they cannot be digested remain in the blood stream and get deposited in the kidneys) can seriously damage the kidneys, and cause irrversible kidney failure. Its one of the worst ways to die--- bilkul tadap tadap ke. Remember what happened to those who were using chawaynprash loaded with gold and other metals???????? this ain't no joke guys. Beware!

        yaah definitely.

firstly, stuff your dosa with the requisite amount of dry potato and other sundry spices and then gently roll it. oh.. and one more thing...

don't forget to insert your DICK in the whole filling.

        serve hot.

        happy business...!

Insane people will make it hit. Nonsense idea, People will sue them once there food will create trouble to body. gold doesn't react to any thing except cynide. so eating gold will not give any nutrition to body. Apart from that if gold is mixed with copper then there is likely chances for the formation of copper sulphate which is poison. Rest Yahoo! should not publish this kind of mean news.

When people are struglgling for two square meals a day, these type of extravaganzas only provoke the less fortunate to commit crimes to earn quick money and enjoy life. These type of idiotic things does not deserve any adverstiment and it needs to be condemned.
