London, Jan 23 (ANI): Gary Lineker has said that he would be willing to give up his lucrative role as 'Match of the Day' host and consider moving to America if his wife Danielle's film career takes off.
He had earlier revealed that she was working with a dialect coach to improve her American accent after winning a part in her first film, 'In Between The Waves', starring 'Harry Potter' actor Tom Felton, and now it looks like the couple is serious about increasing Danielle's chances in Hollywood.
"I think that's something we'd look at when it arises," the Telegraph quoted Lineker as saying at the launch party for Walker's crisps "What's That Flavour" campaign.
"It'd be a lovely dilemma to face. If she starts making 15 or 20 million dollars a movie, then I can retire. I'm getting old anyway," he said.
The former England striker said it was 'fascinating' to see Danielle's career develop and expressed confidence in her abilities.
"The interesting thing is, I've been doing the same thing for a long time," he said.
"It's fascinating now watching her career develop and move away from being a peripheral figure, so we'll see how it goes. She is really good. She's a natural and the public know what they like, so I'd never rule anything out," he added. (ANI)
