New Delhi, Oct. 19 -- The Delhi Police have arrested four persons, who were involved in a robbery-cum-murder at a handicraft unit near Central Delhi's Zakir Hussain College. The accused have been identified as Shamim Akhtar, Sadiq, Mohammed Uvesh, and Mohammed Salim.
On October 8, five men entered the handicraft unit of one Shakeel and caught hold of all the workers. They started beating them and robbed them of a mobile phone and Rs. 8000 at gunpoint.
"One of the workers, Sultan Ahmed, nabbed one of the robbers. To save their accomplice, the accused fired bullets, which hit Sultan and another worker Nawab Ali. The accused fled after firing several more rounds in the air," DC Srivastava, additional CP (central) said.
During interrogation, Salim said he and Uvesh work at a garment factory in Seelam Pur.
