'Fighting for truth, will definitely get justice': Naveen Jindal

New Delhi, Dec. 8 (ANI): Congress MP and industrialist Naveen Jindal on Saturday expressed the hope that he will definitely get justice in the alleged extortion case against Zee group, and said this is a fight for truth.

Asked about the issue amid Zee group chairman Subhash Chandra and his Son Punit Goenka appearing before the Delhi Police's Crime Branch for questioning in connection with the alleged Rs. 100 crore extortion bid from Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), Jindal refused to comment anymore citing that the matter is before the court.

"I don't want to say anything about that. The police is investigating the case and the matter is in the court. We are fighting for the truth and I have full confidence that we will get justice," said Jindal.

Earlier today, Subhash Chandra and Punit Goenka appeared before the Delhi Police's Crime Branch office along with lawyers where he was questioned. The police had served the notice to him on Monday.

A Delhi court had on Thursday granted anticipatory bail to Chandra and his son till December 14 in the case in which two of his Editors, Sudhir Chaudhury and Samir Ahluwalia, were arrested last month following investigations into complaint filed on October 2 by Jindal group.

Zee Group has denied the allegations and demanded the immediate release of its two senior journalists, alleging the police action was 'illegal' and designed for something else. (ANI)
