Sydney, Nov 12(ANI): Rob Quiney, who lasted just 12 balls for nine on the third day of the Gabba Test against South Africa in his Test debut, is hoping he doesn't get labeled as one-Test wonder just like his opening partner at Victoria, Chris Roger.

After lasting just 12 balls for nine yesterday in his Test debut, Quiney, Australia's 429th Test cricketer, can only hope he doesn't suffer a similar fate, the paper added.
Rogers, like Quiney, who was summoned at the 11th hour to replace Shane Watson, won a baggy green by chance after Matthew Hayden suffered a hamstring injury on the eve of the third Test against India in January, 2008, it said.
The 30-year-old left-hander made four and 15, and within months, Rogers had lost his Cricket Australia contract and left Western Australia seeking a career resurrection at Victoria, it further added.
The paper reported that Quiney was by no means ordinary yesterday, showing intent from ball one. He just didn't stay out there long enough.
Against South Africa's world-class attack, the 191cm left-hander played with an air of positivity. Arriving at the crease in the fifth over with Australia 1-13 chasing the Proteas' mammoth 450, Quiney was off the mark first ball, the paper said.
Just as he showed signs of comfort, Quiney was gone as quickly as he arrived, it concluded. (ANI)
