2013 would see Emraan Hashmi's complete 10 years in Bollywood. One would have thought that it would be extra special for him and his mentors Bhatt. However on the contrary, this would be the first time ever in a decade that they won't be collaborating for a film."Yes, Emraan and Mahesh/Mukesh Bhatt are not working on any film", confirms an insider, "Both have moved on. Emraan has films with other makers like Karan Johar (UNGLEE and another untitled film with Deepika), Ekta Kapoor/Vishal Bhardwaj (EK THI DAAYAN) and Raj Kumar Gupta (GHANCHAKKAR). On the other hand Bhatts are making MURDER 3 (Randeep Hooda) and AASHIQUI 2(Aditya Roy Kapur) with other heroes."
Incidentally, there is no announcement yet on RAAZ 4, JANNAT 3 and MURDER 4, films that would have expected to feature Emraan due to franchise factor and loyal fan following.
Confirms Emraan, "No, there won't be any film with Bhatts next year."
From a journey that started with FOOTPATH (2003), it is nothing less than ironic that the collaboration won't have a reason to rejoice in 2013.
