Washington, Oct. 24 (ANI): American business magnate Donald Trump will unearth the divorce papers of President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, according to a financial pundit with links to the tycoon.
It is alleged that Trump will show documents revealing that the First Lady and the President were at one point in their two decades of marriage seriously considering splitting up.
According to the Daily Mail, Trump had claimed on Monday that he was set to make an announcement on Wednesday that would be 'bordering on gigantic' and that it would 'possibly' change the Presidential race'.
The billionaire told Fox and Friends that he had 'something very, very big concerning the president of the United States'.
"It's going to be very big. I know one thing- you will cover it in a very big fashion," Trump had said.
Douglas Kass, a Florida-based investor who appears on CNBC's talk show 'Squawkbox' where Trump is often a commentator, tweeted to his 48,000 followers: "High above the Alps my Gnome has heard that Donald Trump will announce that he has unearthed divorce papers between the Prez and his wife."
When asked about the Tweet, Trump spokeswoman Holly Lorenzo said: "All we know is that he is going to announce it on his Twitter and Facebook accounts tomorrow. I don't know what time it will be, that's all I know."
The claims about divorce papers have previously been made in a book released earlier this year by author Ed Klein, the report said.
The White House rubbished the allegations then and claimed Klein had a history of making things up.
In interviews, the Obamas have in the past admitted going through a rocky patch, but now said that they have patched things up and are stronger than ever.
According to the report, the Obamas, who have two children, Malia, 14, and Sasha, 11, have now been married for 20 years and repeatedly share their continued affections and love for each other publicly. (ANI)
