Dog bites TV anchor's face during LIVE show

Washington, Feb 10 (IANS) A TV anchor in US state of Colorado had to be rushed to the hospital and undergo surgery after a dog on her show bit her in the face during a live segment.

Max, an 85-pound Argentine Mastiff, sunk its teeth into Kyle Dyer's face when she bent down to pet him during a morning show segment on KUSA-TV, the Daily Mail reported.

Dyer, who had been working at the station for over 15 years, had reconstructive surgery Wednesday. She is going to be out for several weeks for recovery.

The dog had survived a harrowing rescue from a freezing pond and was on the show as part of a mini-reunion between him and his rescuers.

Did no one tell this woman that the dog had been through a very traumatic experience and it might be a good idea not to get in his face? I might have bit her myself

Until you know a dog really well, you need to keep away from the sharp end ! But this really is too bad. This lady should remember that dogs generally do not like to be close to the faces of strangers, and if she was looking directly into his eyes, he would very likley have seen it as a threat.
