Colombo: George Bailey wouldn't call Tuesday's effort against Pakistan "embarrassing" while admitting that they were outplayed by a better team.
"You can call it embarrassing if you wish… Most teams have had it that way at some stage of the tournament," the Australia captain said.
"Pakistan outplayed us. The ball turned more, they used spin against us well. We didn't play as well as we would have liked to," Bailey said.
He said that it was clear after Tuesday's showing that the batsmen had deficiencies against quality spin bowling.
"Tonight we showed deficiencies against spin… The Pakistanis played a tactically good game… " Bailey said.
