Didn't know Shah Rukh was offered Talaash: Aamir Khan

Mumbai, Oct. 20 -- For a few days now, the two Khans - Aamir and Shah Rukh - have been in the news over Reema Kagti's Talaash. Apparently, the film was first offered to SRK, but he wasn't convinced about working in a suspense thriller. Aamir, on his part, is completely clueless that Shah Rukh was approached for the role he went on to play in the film.

"I didn't know about it. Even for my other films, I've no idea who they are offered to first before they come to me," says the superstar with a laugh. "But the next time someone offers me a film; I will include this question (among other queries)."

When Reema is asked about it, she rubbishes the news and calls it a non-issue. "I would rather not talk about things that didn't work out. What's important and why we all are here is for things that did work out. Such things happen all the time in films. Aamir said that he can't imagine anyone else in the roles played by Kareena and Rani. Likewise, I feel the same about my three principle cast members," says the director.

The film's music was released on Thursday at a city hotel.

STORY PLOT

Shot in Mumbai, Pondicherry and London, the storyline of the film has been kept closely guarded from Day 1 as Aamir is particular about not revealing the plot of his films. However, as per trailers and trade talk, Rani plays his wife, Sunaina, and Kareena plays a prostitute, Rosy. Latest rumours also suggest that there are traces of the Aarushi murder case in the film. Talaash will also see Gangs of Wasseypur lead Nawazzudin Siddique playing a pivotal role.
